I’ve talked about snacking a ton, but it is one thing that most of us do on a regular basis! The rungers kick in and I need to grab something healthy and satisfying to cure my hunger before I reach for the pan of brownies! Sometimes the pan of brownies win, but more often than not I’m reaching for the protein bar, greek yogurt or apples and nut butter. One of my favorite snacks is a brown rice cake with nut butter, chopped strawberries and a sprinkle of hemp hearts on top.
I’ve been using Manitoba hemp hearts for a while. Did you know you can even make it into a “nut butter”...so yummy. I’ve been known to take a handful of hemp seeds and throw them in my mouth for a snack. But, not gonna lie…it’s not pretty. Those tiny little seeds spilling everywhere while I’m trying to “throw” them in my mouth? Yea, like I need ANOTHER mess to clean up, I have two boys. I’m constantly cleaning up messes.
When I heard that Manitoba Harvest came out with some new Hemp Heart bites I was so excited! As a Sweat Pink Ambassador and my affiliation with Fitapproach, I was given the opportunity to test these babies out.
These may be the perfect go-to snack for those that like Hemp hearts without the mess. Packed with protein, 10 grams in fact and 10 grams of Omega’s 3 & 6, these truly may be the best snack ever. Nutty, slightly crunchy and a hint of sweetness. This actually cured my sweet craving too….and I have a LOT of sweet cravings. And if this cured it, then it’s a keeper in my book. Can’t feel guilty about subbing THESE for a plate of brownies!
