Not too long ago I told you all about a great new subscription snack box called Love with Food. They are a subscription snack company that offers natural and/or organic snacks. But what really draws me to this company is the fact that they give back to the community. For every box sold they donate one meal to a food bank in the U.S. (Feeding America Network and Share our Strength-No Kid Hungry). So when they contacted me to try out another box I was all over it!! Ya’ll know how much my kids and I love snacks! I hate buying new snacks that I’m not sure I’m going to love, so this is a great way to try out some new types of snacks without the commitment to an entire bag!
If you’ve never tried a subscription snack box before it’s really like Christmas. It’s kind of exciting to see what is inside. Inside the box are all of your snacks of course, but there is also a pamphlet that describes each snack (i.e. gmo-free/organic/vegan/gluten free) Then if you like it you can head on over to the Love for Food website and buy more of the snacks that you really like!! I like this feature because I’ve tried boxes before where I have found something I love but can never find it again!! This way you can go straight to the site and voila, it’s right there! Pretty cool!
I was sent a Deluxe box this time around so I thought I would share everything that came in my box!
Honestly, I was lucky to even get to try some of these. The kids got their little hands on them and they were practically gone!
Here’s what came in the box! A little unveiling if you will! Definitely a beachy/summer theme for this box! Tons of light summer flavors!
Hawaiian BBQ One Potato Two Potato Kettle chips (Gluten free). My favorite item in the box. I never buy potato chips and very rarely eat them (unless it’s a special occasion) , but I HAD to take one for the team and try them out. OMG, so good. I wouldn’t even share with the kids. Yey for two bags in the box!
Banana Chips by Fruitival (gluten free/vegan/non-gmo): I’m not a banana fan at all. Can’t stand the taste, smell or texture, but I tried these anyway. They were actually pretty good and didn’t have a strong banana flavor. They reminded me of a much milder plantain chip.
Simply Toasted Crunchy Coconut Chips by Bare Snacks (gluten free, non-gmo): I’m not really a big fan of coconut and neither are the kiddos but for those that love coconut this would probably be a win.Coconut Almond Curry Granola by Bear Naked: This was an interesting flavor combo. Light and summery. I didn’t eat the coconut but enjoyed the almond and cashews with a little curry flavor!Fruit Snacks by Tasty Brand (non-gmo, organic): The kids freaked out when they saw these, but they aren’t allowed gummy snacks unfortunately (they have deep grooves in teeth and dentist said no gummies for them). Not going to lie, I was excited that they couldn’t have them. I’m a sucker for a good fruit snack. These were yummy and may even be good for fueling on a long run!True Lemon, True Lime, True Grapefruit by True Citrus: This was a new product for me. I had never heard of it. It is sugar free juice crystals used to flavor water! No artificial sweeteners only crystallized fruit!! Definitely a fan as I LOVE my lemon water in the morning! The grapefruit flavor was great too. I haven’t tried the lime yet.Sweet N Salty Seaweed by Sea’s Gift (non-gmo, gluten free, vegan): This was not a favorite of mine. I can’t even describe what this tasted like…actually it tasted like salty seaweed from the ocean, just as described. Not my cup of tea. But I’m also not accustomed to the seaweed taste, so for those that do like seaweed, I could see this being a great snack! Fruit Strip from Sun Rype and Lemon Almond Biscotti: Yum and yum. Again kids couldn’t have the fruit strip…too bad, so sad I got a TINY bite of the biscotti. Both were great and the mini’s LOVED the biscotti. So if you like a little surprise at your door every month, this would be a great subscription and they even changed their prices for the better since the last time I reviewed their box!
